Less traffic sent to one of the servers in pool.

One of the server is receiving less traffic s compared to other servers. We can see less traffic in pool statistics. We can see few orphaned connections (only for one particular vip) on the F5 box which we are suspecting is causing the less connections and in turn less traffic. These orphaned connections are UP from around 500 days. At the same time same server is used in other VIP's on which we can see almost equal distribution of traffic. Configuration is similar for the VIP;s.

 

Please assist what can be causing this.

 

Version - 11.5.1

HA - Yes

Load balancing - Least connection

Persistence - Cookie

    What is the loadbalancing method configured?

    Did you check the ltm logs for the member, is there any symptoms of member going down frequently ?

      LB method is least connection with cookie persistence. Pool member is not going down.

    Are all the pool members of the same type in terms of resources (cpu/memory etc) ? Checking the logs will be of help to see if the member is failing often. Have you looked into K10430 ?

      Yes, pool members are of same type and same configuration. There are no logs for frequent up and down of pool member.
