LDAP with md5 hashed password

Hi everyone.

I'm currently working firepass with LDAP server.

I configured firepass to work with LDAP auth.

Last problem is LDAP server stores user's password in md5 hashed value. (ID/PW are like this FOOBAR/c3ad0b16898865a5b57ae4ebb5f1c3d6)

So I need a solution that does like this

1. firepass takes user id and password

2. md5(password) in firepass

3. Compare md5(password) with LDAP server password

Does any body know what to do?

PS. I've heard that someone already had solved above problem only configuring firepass.

  • Hi,

I guess you could enable the WebDAV sandbox and build you're own logon page. In that logon page you could write a piece of JavaScript to take the password and MD5 it before running the POST to /my.activiation.php3 ? I guess that would work.

    Cheers,
