Hello, is there away that I can reset user-authentication from ldap back to local. I changed user directory list from local to ldap and followed all instructions, however it did not work. now not able to log in to admin console with either local user or ldap user.

No :(. that is the problem. after the change to use ldap ( which apparently has some issues), I am not able to log in using my ldap id or my local f5-id (which I created long time ago). and I don't know f5 admin user password. so no way for me to log in to admin GUI right now.

Is F5 located remote data center ? If yes, there is only solution is that taking help from F5 administrator.
