NimbostratusLC problems w/netmeeting dropping after five minutes
We use a F5 link controller and we're having problems with netmeeting dying after five minutes, regardless of the activity level. I'm thinking I need to look into persistence, but how would I know for sure?

Sounds like you are running into the default idle timeout in the tcp profile (300 secs = 5 mins). That shouldn't be triggered if the session is active, but the timing is pretty coincidental. I would create a profile with a longer timeout and then apply that to the virtual server that passes your Netmeeting traffic.
