we currently have 2 pools and two vips that were designed to take ftp traffic 20/21.
From what I understand about the issue from the users is that they can connect, but are unable to perform commands like "ls" once connected. As I understand the ftp process.. port 20 is DATA and is the problem here. I noticed that the monitor for port 20 on the Big-IP is down.
anyone any work around for load balancing port 20/21 ??

If you use the ftp profile on the port 21 vip and delete the port 20 vip it should work. The ftp profile is designed to allow the data port on 20. Having the port 20 vip configured probably overrides the profile and breaks it. - cxcal_18687

Keep in mind I'm running version 4.5.14. And I only have two pools (20/21) the tcp monitor is failing for port 20. the tcp monitor for port 21 works.
