We have two F5 in HA (Active/Standby), and each have two interfaces, one for external (use for VirtualServer only) and another for internal (for connection to back-end servers and VirtualServer)

Sep 14, 2017not mandatory, but n you will have to double your request for dmz or outside access for the device. firewall rules and such. the floater allows you to allow only 1 ip address for those boxes to communicate outside or thru the dmz.

Sep 14, 2017Monitors uses always self ip even if there is a floating ip!
So firewall rules may allow self ip and floating ips if snat is enabled!
