iRulesLX streaming and ASM/WAF incompatible profiles

Hi!

 

I am trying to replace an iRuleLX RPC automation using iRulesLX streaming data, but, when I try to assign the iRules LX Profile to the virtual server, BIG-IP says Virtual server /Common/testvs lists incompatible profiles. I noted that it works when the Application Security Policy is disabled.

 

Is that real? iRulesLX streaming does not work together with WAF/ASM? Am I doing something wrong?

    Hello Renato,

     

    I did some digging on this internally and unfortunately it appears that iRulesLX is not compatible with ASM at this time. I did find an RFE (Request For Enhancement) to make them compatible but ultimately it is up to the Product Development team to decide if and when they want to add that feature. This unfortunately means that there is no ETA or guarantee that they will be compatible in the future.

     

    I know that this is not ideal but I hope this answers your question.
