NacreousiRules do not have an affect on the status of the virtual server. This is facilitated by the health monitor that is applied to the pool associated with the virtual server.
The health status filters up (never down) from the node > pool > vs. If the nodes are marked down, is the virtual server. A health monitor with an HTTP monitor could make a pool down, yet the nodes be marked up as they are using ICMP.
If you want your virtual servers to be marked down under a certain condition, you can do this as part of your heath monitor, an iRule can only check the status of the pool and do something depending on what you're looking for, it won't however mark the VS down.
