iRules for 11.5 TMOS running on 11.3 TMOS
I am involved with upgrading my company's iRules to be compatible with version 11.5.1 HF5 TMOS. I made the changes suggested here: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/14000/300/sol14381.html
Now I am asked to run the 11.5 version of the iRules on an F5 running the 11.3 TMOS. Will the changes suggested in SOL14381 have the same effect on both 11.5 and 11.3? In other words, should I be concerned that the changes I put in for 11.5 will not act the same when run under the 11.3 TMOS?
And in case you are wondering why: It is so that upgrade of the F5 from 11.3 to 11.5 doesn't require a change in iRules at the same time.
Thanks!

Thanks. I did some more digging around yesterday and found that also. The conclusion is that any iRules that are triggered by the HTTP_CLASS_SELECTED or HTTTP_CLASS_FAILED events will not run (or even load into) 11.5; and that if the iRules are updated for 11.5, they will not work on 11.3 (because the POLICY package doesn't exist in 11.3).
