Can anyone provide any insight to this problem?
I recently created this rule that logged a class valid_methods
when HTTP_REQUEST {
if { not [matchclass [HTTP::method] equals $::val...

Oct 17, 2007Colin,
Thank you for your time.

1. The reason the quotes are backslashed is because I pulled this copy of the rule from the audit log and forgot to remove some of the back slashes for the post.

2. Yes, I was trying to verify what the class contained. This was for testing purposes only and and would not have remained in my final rule.
Those things aside I do not see why this completely hoarked all iRules using that class.
At best, it should have logged "{GET} {HEAD} {OPTIONS} {POST}" to the syslog
At worst, it should have caused just that iRule to fail, not all iRules using that class.
Even after removing that part of that iRule and doing a b load, iRules still crashed accessing that class even though b class valid_methods list showed it to be just fine????
