Irule for Mail ..

HI All,   can some one please suggest an irule that triggers an email to a group ID when the Member of pool goes down and when it come back on-line due to health check ?

Would alert.conf will be a feasible option for you? I don't think there's a distinguished iRule function to generate & send an e-mail alert. What might also work for you (assuming you're running F5 v11.4 or newer) is an iCall/TCL script that generates and sends the alert.

 

In such case, you would have a solution as follows: iRule triggers the iCall -> iCall triggers the TCL script -> TCL script sends the alert.

 

However, I still recommend you start by investing the alert.conf option:
