IPSec VPN Client to Big-IP?
Can I establish a VPN connection from an IPSec client (in this case an Avaya phone) to a Big-IP?
The Avaya phone has a built-in IPSec client so I believe this would be the equivalent of connecting to Big-IP using an IPSec VPN client on a workstation. After the VPN tunnel is established, the device (or workstation) needs to be assigned an IP address similar to the way an Edge Client connection is provided an IP address from a leasepool. I presume you cannot connect to Big-IP from ANY IPSec VPN client but I need to confirm.
(Just to be clear, I am not asking about establishing a IPSec tunnel between Big-IP and another device such as a router or FW - that is well documented. I am asking about IPSec VPN client to Big-IP.)
Thanks.

You can do only IPsec lan to lan tunnels.
You will have to trust my word, as I could not find a document that says that.
Anyway, if you want to find out, here are some links:

Possibly using F5 APM with network access and use SSL VPN on your Avaya phone, however I don´t know if it it supported and / or compatible. It does not appear on the client compatibility list.
Avaya does support SSL VPN with their Avaya VPN Gateway (AVG) so if it is not supported by this moment perhaps would be a nice thing to include in as a new feature in F5 APM. Just thinking with you.
