IP missing in x-forwarded-for header.

We are having setup where f5 is loadbalancing the traffic on 5 servers. We have enabled x-forwarded-for option to get original client IP. Everything is working good however we have observed in some cases we are not receiving the IP address in the HTTP Request and hence we are not getting client ip address and passing blank value to logs. Can someone know what is exact happeing?

    Hi, it is possible that the cases in which you are not seeing an X-Forwarded-For header are the BIG-IPs monitoring to your servers? The X-Forwarded-For header will only be inserted on load balanced traffic, BIG-IP initiated requests will not include this header.
