Jun 13, 2014Internal GTM seem seemed to have been unable to resolve dns names
Hello,
We had a situation where our internal GTM was unable to provide connection for a sub-domain for about 10 minutes. Just want to know the root cause or where I could start my investigation ...

Jun 13, 2014Can you elaborate a bit more on the setup? Is GTM recursively trying to query for this subdomain and is failing? Where is the subdomain authoritative? Another GTM or on the Internet?

Internal Users complain about inability to connect to host within the .public.omega.intdata.com domain for about 10 minutes. Connection attempts times out. This domain names are being resolved by a GTM ver 10.2.3. To some, the problem was intermittent. I am unable to reproduce the problem from my box. - Cory_50405Jun 13, 2014

Those symptoms don't seem to indicate a GTM problem on the surface. For the users who are having the issues, it may be best to run a tcpdump on your GTM and verify if you are getting the DNS queries and responding to them. Or it could be unrelated to DNS at all, if the subsequent data connection after the DNS resolution is failing.
