Integrate multiple existing GTM deployments/sync groups
Hello all,
I'd like to get some thoughts on steps and the amount of effort needed to integrate multiple existing GTM deployments. For example, I have a version 10.2.x installation with it's sync group called "group01" and another group under version 11.3.0 called "mycoolnewf5". I haven't seen anything in the docs that would suggest it's possible to add a GTM to an existing deployment without one side's configuration being deleted.
Currently it seems like the only safe way to do this is to migrate wide-IPs one by one by rebuilding them and changing their DNS delegation to the other GTM, or, rebuild everything and then cut the listeners over to the new unit.
Thanks.

you'll have a bit of an issue with sync groups working together on different versions. It is recommended to migrate the WIPs over one by one to the ver 11 GTM.
Thanks for the reply, Steve.
My research has led me to believe that attempting to add a GTM to an existing sync group outside of running gtm_add will most likely result in the loss of the configuration on the existing units. I will migrate WIPs instead of attempting that.
