idle timouts for the sessions
I've setup a vip with two pool members all set to (*) all ports. This is for some AS400 applications. Seems to be working except that admin wants no idle timouts for the session. My questions is can ...

A few options to consider;
- Keep the idle timeout and request the clients to enable TCP keep-alives either via their TN5250 client or the OS (this would be my recommendation).
- Remove the idle timeout, set a connection limit on the virtual in question, and run a regular maintenance job that clears the sessions.
- Set a very long idle timeout of 4 days or more.
