Aug 09, 2007I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to do.
Are you trying to set up a monitor that will cause the load balancer to think everything is down if a single node is down?
The monitors have to check each node, otherwise they won't know if that node is up or down. So (afaik) you have to have the monitors do individual checks. However, I believe you can set up the pools such that they have a minimum number of nodes that have to report as UP for the pool to be UP. I'm not seeing that setting in a quick look at the interface, but I could have sworn I came across it at one point (maybe in the iControl API).
Am I understanding correctly what you're trying to do?
