    iControl API has been around for a very long time. But 10.2.2? I suggest you should be running 11.5.4 and 10.2.4 at the very least.

The iControl SOAP API has been around since version 4.0. It was redesigned during our migration to v9.0 and has been stable additive changes since that release. So, for 10.2.2 you should be good to go. The main thing to look out for is that you aren't using methods introduced on newer versions of the product and trying to call them on 10.2.2. Obviously since they were added to a later release, they wouldn't be on the older versions.
