NimbostratusWe are currently installing our first F5 cluster and are planning based on best practice and wanted to know if there was a best practice when it came to ICAP. The design provided to us by the architects is currently four hops and three of them are firewalls.
NimbostratusTypically I dont see a performance degrade with icap protocol though we dont upload many files. Plus if you use a CDR it may take longer to analyze the file. I guess it depends on the volume of files that you are trying to scan and the number of engines you use. Network hops may not be a factor in the latency.
