ICAP Integration with KasperSky?
Hello Folks,
Did anyone integrated KasperSky with F5 ASM for AV Offloading? What exactly is happening at my end is, I have integrated the KAV AV with F5 ASM, now it is blocking every file upload, even though the file isn't malicious.
By doing .PCAP on port 1344, I found that KAV is serving 405 (Method not supported). And no other useful messages.
Any clues?
Thank you, Darshan

your error message could be a problem of a wrong icap_uri.
you have to setup it at asm system variables, depending on the ICAP server (kaspersky). - swo0sh_gt_13163

Yes, I guess so. And only that inspired to open a thread at DevCentral if someone has experience integrating KAV with ASM.
The current URI is set as
, However based on the following article it looks like it should be/av/reqmod/av/resmodhttp://www.safesquid.com/content-filtering/icap
And an example with Squid Proxy of KAV integration, says totally different i.e.
/reqmodAny idea what should be exact URI to be placed?
Thank you, Darshan

you want to scan incomming traffic, so it should be /av/reqmod

That is what currently configured. However it ends up with 405 from ICAP Server. :( Any idea?

do you have a log on KAV server? or you have to ask the kaspersky support.

No, I haven't actually contacted KasperSky so far. However it seems that I need to contact them as there is no other option left. :(
Thank you very much for your help Torti!
