There isn't much really to go by here. If you are getting a transport level error that you are receiving text/html instead of text/xml then something is amiss with the iControl portal on the 3-DNS box. Are you seeing this error only on this method or is it on every iControl method call you make?

 

 

I would suggest restarting the services on BIG-IP by issuing a "bigpipe restart" from within a command session and see if this fixes the issue. If it doesn't then a reboot my be required.

 

 

This method takes no parameters so if it's not working then there is probably a configuration issue on BIG-IP itself and you will be better supported by going through our product support for BIG-IP. We are setup here to help out with issues arising from development of applications but our technical support staff has a better view into these types of issues.

 

 

Let us know if my suggested items work or not and whether all of the iControl methods result in this error.
