https redirect stopped working

Today, for no particular reason, my redirect rule to shift traffic from http to https stopped working.

 

 

The rule is simple:

 

when HTTP_REQUEST {
 HTTP::redirect https://[HTTP::host][HTTP::uri]
}

 

 

This has been working fine for over a year, but today it quit. I now get errors in the LTM logs that state:

 

 

TCL error: Rule SSL_Redirect - Operation not supported. Multiple redirect/respond invokations not allowed (line 1) invoked from within "HTTP::redirect https://[HTTP::host][HTTP::uri]"

 

 

The error is from tmm with a status code of 01220001. i can find no reference to this error.
