HTTP Profile not working.

Hey all , New to the discussion forums here. Not sure if this is the right group though.

 

 

We currently have an F5 LTM running old 9.4 code, and we have a health monitor that does HTTP and performs a simple

 

 

 

GET /some/location/file.jsp

 

 

 

and receive string is set for

 

 

 

FTW

 

 

 

Everything works on the old F5, however our new F5 ASM...

 

doesnt seem to work with that health monitor.

 

 

 

Where can I go to start looking at why it's not working?

    Which LTM version are you running? Can you try this for the send string on the newer unit?

     

     

    GET /some/location/file.jsp HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: \r\nConnection: Close\r\n\r\n

    Well i'll be darned...

     

    that seems to clear it right up.

     

     

    Check is working like a charm at the moment...

     

     

    So mind me asking what might be the cause of that...

     

     

    also we are running 10.2.0 on our LTM w/ ASM

    The monitoring daemon, bigd, no longer appends two \r\n\r\n's to the end of HTTP/S send strings in 10.2.0:
