How VMware Virtual Adapters Correspond to F5 VE VLAN Interfaces
Dear all,
I am running a VE on Vmware Workstation software. Opening up my Virtual Network Adapters to create different subnets, how does that correspond to VLAN Interface 1.1, 1.2, 1.3?
I would look at the icons bottom right taskbar of each VM To know what virtual NICs were attached. But for example, how does four or even five virtual NIC correspond to interfaces 1.1., 1.2, 1.3?
Having a virtual NIC with subnet each for: * Management Subnet * External Subnet (With NAT to simulate external traffic) * Internal Subnet * HA Subnet
a normal deployment would have four interface which are mapped like this
NIC 1 - mgmt NIC 2 - 1.1 NIC 3 - 1.2 NIC 4 - 1.3
how you exactly use these (except for mgmt) is up to you of course, there is no real demand to do HA on 1.3 or external on 1.1.
