Mar 11, 2012HOW TO: v11 Active/Active
I am looking for a document describing the config for an Active/Active deployment. I currently have an Active/Standby running but would like to experiment with Active/Active. Is there something out there or does anyone have any tips?

I have not seen that. Thank you. I was looking for some switch to turn it on or off... Not so much. So, obviously the Auto Failback is important in this otherwise the non-Default device could wind up handling traffic until another failover event. How high a number should be set in the timeout box for this setting? - schmuck

So, using an iApp seems pretty straight forward but to manually create a Virtual Server, how do I associate that object a traffic group? - nitass

How high a number should be set in the timeout box for this setting?i understand it is used to make sure mirroring data is synchronized before failing back. i think about 60 seconds should be good.
how do I associate that object a traffic group?isn't traffic group shown when configuring object e.g. virtual server address, snat translation, etc. - schmuck

The max timeout setting that can be set is 10 seconds, so 10 seconds it is. :)And no, there is no traffic group option when creating a standard virtual server. There is when you create a partition though. So, the only way I can see to assign a standard virtual server is to create the virtual server in that partition. There's gotta be a better way?

The max timeout setting that can be set is 10 seconds, so 10 seconds it is. :)i understand the maximum is 300 seconds. anyway, there is no validation in current release (v11.1). it is tracked as bug 364723.
Bug 364723 - Add validation to the auto-failback-time values
And no, there is no traffic group option when creating a standard virtual server.it is not under virtual server. it is under virtual server address.
