How to set up a failover node?

I am looking to set up a VIP with a pair nodes that the Server Admin would like set up in a Primary and Secondary scenario with failover from Primary to Secondary in the event the primary is marked down by the Health Monitor. Is this possible with any of the "normal" load balancing options on the pool or is this a job for an Irule?

Thanks

You can use priority groups. In the pool members tab (lists members) set Priority Group Activation to Less than 1 available members. Then click the individual nodes and set the node priorities. The higher the number, the higher the priority, so a member with a priority of 3 has higher priority than a member with a priority of 1. Priority 0 means no priority.
