NimbostratusHow to reset admin password on F5 BIG IP LTM 2000 v11.2.1?
I need help to reset the admin password in our F5 LTM, since I cannot login the default password anymore (weird).
Anybody can help me to do the step by step guide on how to do it?
Hi,
- Start the system in single-user mode.
-
Type the following commands:
mount -a passwd root - When prompted, enter a new password.
- Type exit or reboot to return to the normal operating mode.

- f5newuser_18231Yes I have followed that link. I just used the command passwd root and I didn't use the mount -a. What is the importance of this command mount -a ?
