how do i make a node in a pool of two servers with source address affinity persistence profile begin processing traffic again, instantly it becomes active again after being pull down for maintenance....

Since the node goes online again, new connections will be loadbalanced to this node as well.
You can develop a script that reset related persistence entries when the pool member goes online.
