NimbostratusHow to identify F5 VE correct serial number ?
Hi all, for proper housekeeping of serial number we have a F5 VE and from the license info we have a Appliance Serial Number but in the F5 console the Serial Number is much longer. Is the Appliance SN the software serial number and the Chassis serial number the hardware serial number ? I believe the Appliance SN will change while the license is updated while the Chassis number remains the same

BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) products running as a virtual machine do not have a serial number. To obtain the registration key, follow the instructions in the following document to determine the registration key.
