how to handle redirects

I have a web application I would like to put behind a F5 VIP, Dell/EMC DataIQ. When you go to port 443 of the app, it redirects the user to port 30003 for the user to login via the built-in security authentication mechanism. Once the authentication is approved, it redirects the user back to port 443 and allows the user to enter the application. I have seen this process in a few different vendor supplied web apps. Is there any good documentation on how to put an application like this behind a F5 VIP.
