If I understood you, depending on the application type, you could create an iRule or LTM policy rules to set up the SNAT to automap or pool (one-arm network) otherwise keep SNAT to none when in a routed mode (two-arm network).
e.g.
http application where you consider forwarding and balance by http hostname.
Is that what you need? It's clear for you?
