How to config health monitor interval

I config a http health moniter, when the interval is set to 5s and timeout is set to 16s, there is no problem. But when the interval is set to less than 5s(1, 2, 3, 4), some node will be marked down sometime. Please tell me how to explain this? Thank you.

    Timeout has to be (3*Interval)+1

     

    Normally, don't set such a short interval as this increases weird behavior like the one you are seeing and taxes resources on the server and also on the F5.

     

    In short, it is okay to increase the interval but not a good idea to reduce it, based on my experience.
