How to check if any pool is Active or not.

Hi Experts, I am in process of implementing Blue\Green deployment model.So before i proceed with the deployment on any of the pool, how would i know if the pool ( Green or Blue ) is Active or Idle. ...

From the word "Active" means All the members are UP and running and "Idle" means its not serving traffic.
