Prasath, a http profile, like many other Profiles, inform the bigip on what the expected traffic is and can be used to interact with the traffic.
So, a http Virtual Server with a http profile will allow the bigip to read the http traffic and, for example, inject headers, cookies, create redirects etc.
This article should help further.
Hope this helps,

Hi Nathan, Does it mean that you are only going to use http profile if you want to manipulate http traffic? What if I don't want to control http traffic and I want to keep my SSL certificates on my local server, do I need to remove the http profile since I am not touching the http traffic?
