How does Round Robin Algorithm Works
Hi All,
I wanna know on how round robin algorithm works. I have created a HLB VIP and following is my setup
HLB VIP Name: MYHLBVIPDEMO.contoso.corp.com (157.1.2.54)
PROD Server Name: PRODDEMO.contoso.corp.com (10.222.224.11)
DR Server Name: DRDEMO.contoso.corp.com ((10.222.224.12)
If user connections get directed to DR site even if Production is available, we expect performance problems. Our expectation is to get users point to production and in case if production is not reachable (down), connections need to redirect to DR (mostly seamlessly).
Please let us know how we can update the configuration to achieve this.
Thanks !

You need to use the priority group concept. Have a look here : https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/ltm_concepts_11_0_0/ltm_pools.html?sr=41239525
