How does F5 Analytics aggregate transaction data?
According to previous discussion, we have learned the following:
-
First 2 hours it keeps data aggregated every 5 minutes
-
After 8 hours it keeps data aggregated every 1 hours (60 minutes)
-
After 2 days it keeps data aggregated every 4 hours (240 minutes)
-
After 2 weeks it keeps data aggregated every 24 hours
-
After 2 months it keeps data aggregated every 1 week
-
After 1 year it keeps data aggregated every 4 weeks
However, how exactly do they aggregate those data? Do they average the TPS in the time interval?
I am seeing some inconsistency in my data. For example:
This is what I saw when viewing the data on 9/26.
- 9/25/2014 04:00:00 TPS = 0
- 9/25/2014 08:00:00 TPS = 0
- 9/25/2014 12:00:00 TPS = ~12k
- 9/25/2014 16:00:00 TPS = ~12k
- 9/25/2014 20:00:00 TPS = ~12k
- 9/26/2014 00:00:00 TPS = 0
And this is what I am seeing right now
- 9/25/2014 00:00:00 TPS = 1.2K
- 9/26/2014 00:00:00 TPS = 1k
What is going on here?
