How come nobody responds to my posts?

I was very excited when I first began working with our f5 BIG-IP to see how much support there was here for me, but when I ran into my first real hiccup, my forum post remained the only un-replied to thread for quite awhile.

I worked around that issue after a few days, but am now facing another one. I'm sure I'm just missing a key concept somewhere, but the most frustrating thing is hearing nothing back on my issues. Everybody here seems to get a response to issues either from Joe or dmacvittie, or another community member within a day or so of posting. What have I done to engender the wrath of the gods so that everybody ignores me?

All I'm asking for is a response of some sort. "You're an newb, go read documentation on that feature ____" or "We're working on that feature" or something. Please?

    Hi RichKL,

It may well be a simple case of timing - we've had a lot of travel and vacations, and we lost a team member in the middle of all that... No excuse, but we've been running pretty short handed for a while (I was the only team member working for one week). Overall the community might be having vacation issues also due to summer time.

I'll go check your thread now, sorry.

    Don.
  • Check your original post, the thread I referenced should answer your questions. Sorry the DevCentral experience started off poorly for you. This community is great, and there are plenty of helpful people willing to dive in.
  • I appreciate the restraint...it's always easiest to lash out. Friendly always works with me, and as I am not employed by anyone to be helpful here, I'll usually only respond to grumpiness if the question is unique and will benefit the community.
