Hostname in F5
I have configured my web servers. I need to configure hostname now. That is when someone type www.xyz.com, it must be redirected. Can this be done in F5 loadbalancer? If so, can some one point me to that direction?

Hi,
Yes your BIG-IP can do this. Could you tell us on which TMOS version you're running on ?
We'll give you the best answer depending on your version.

Take a look at the last example on the HTTP::host wiki page.

when HTTP_REQUEST { if { [HTTP::host] equals"www.xyz.com"} { HTTP::redirect "http://www.abc.com/index.html" } } - Thomas_Gobet

With version 10.x you have to use iRules.
Could you tell me where you want to redirect your client?
