host flapping

Hello,

 

 

Is there a way to mark a pool member down for an extended period when it is detected to be flapping ( of times per second)?

    This is something that you'll probably want to make use of iControl for. iRules are connection based, which means they're not really ideally suited for monitoring the status of a member over time and marking it up/down. While this can be done, it's relatively resource intensive, and not completely accurate since the polling would be done with every connection (or every n connections) rather than at timed intervals.
