Help restoring BIG-IP 1600 to factory default settings (11.3.0 build 3022.0)
I am trying to restore a Big Ip 1600 to factory defaults following guide
http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/100/sol13127.html
However upon entering the command "load sys config default", the following errors appear:
*root@(1600-1)(cfg-sync Standalone)(Active)(/Common)(tmos) load sys config default
Reset the system configuration to factory defaults? (y/n) y
/bin/tar: files_d/Common_d/certificate_d/:Common:xxx_1: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors*
Unexpected Error: Failed to append to temp tar file "/var/tmp/tmsh/nWPAFD/data" cache path "/config/filestore/files_d/Common_d/certificate_d/:Common:xxx_1"exit code (2).
Any ideas?
It might be there is a certificate referenced by your config which does not exist on disk. Try creating the file then try again:
touch /config/filestore/files_d/Common_d/certificate_d/:Common:xxx_1

However it turned out there were lots more files after that one that it couldn't find before it would let me reset to defaults I decided in the end to rebuild it from scratch from USB to make sure it was completely wiped.
