Help F5/Linux system logging
I've read some general KBs on F5 and logging, not sure if I'm searching correctly. Specifically, I would like to know the steps to search logs for a system shutdown of any kind.
...Hopefully this information will give me more info for other like questions.

On OS level one would first take a look at /var/log/messages. This is the location the kernel will write to if there are any problems on OS level. Regarding the BIG-IP platform itself I would check the /var/log/ltm log file.
Regarding reboots, also the command 'last' could give you some information. Another command you can try is 'dmesg'.
