Health monitor question

For example, if I have a monitor with 5 interval and 16 time-out?. What will happen if the pool member fail to response the second health check and the pool member still appear as up, it will still ...

If it failed a health check the member will be marked as down, and will not receive traffic.

 

If it passes the first health check and is still within the 16 second timeout of the second, but is going to fail, it will receive traffic until the timeout fails and the member is marked as down.

Yes, bigip will continue to send traffic to a pool member until it is marked down. If the timeout period is 16 seconds in the monitor then bigip will send traffic for that time at which point pool member is marked down and bigip stops sending traffic.
