Health monitor and inband monitor in combination

Hi

 

When using an inband monitor along with a health monitor, will the inband monitor only be used IF the health monitor has marked the pool member as UP?

 

or will the inband monitor be attempted regardless from time to time?

 

I am currently seeing what looks like the latter case, although I have an AND condition between the two monitors.

    Hi, if you go to the inband monitor and then use the help panel (on left) , it will document "Retry Time". I'm not sure that its entirely accurate as its referring to "Check Until Up", which is ancient history IIRC --John PS: I'll try and get that fixed..
