Has anyone tried Load Balancing CAPWAP Tunnels?

The idea is to Load Balance 2 Cisco 8510 WLC's and the traffic to be CAPWAP Tunnel's for use with OfficeExtend. AP 600's to be the clients connecting. Traffic would be CAPWAP UDP ports 5246 and 5247 ...

Interesting idea. I don't know much about WLCs and the protocols involved but I'd imagine a UDP monitor with an appropriate send and receive string would be far better than ICMP.
