Hi there
We use platform d63a (BigIP 6400).
As I read the hardware portfolio F5 says that 8800 uses quad-core cpu's???
We have problems with our tmm load on the bigip 6400.
The load is about 80% that tmm process uses.
Now we plan to do a hardware upgrade from 6400 to 8800.
Would that change made tmm 2 times faster?
What about your experiences???
Many thanx for help

- Jesse_42849Historic F5 AccountHi Andy,
The 8800 is about four times faster than the 6400 for CPU-bound operations; it has 4 2.6GHz CPUs, and TMM can use 90% of each. For comparison, TMM on a 6400 has access to 100% of one 2.0 GHz CPU.
The F5 Performance Report (http://www.f5.com/reports/f5-performance-report.pdf) may be a good reference for you. It covers many of the typical metrics regarding the 8800’s performance.
