HA Pair Default Gateways

I have 2 F5's in a HA config(active/standby).   I need to add a default gateway for each F5. box 1 needs 192.168.102.1 and box 2 needs 192.168.102.2.   I have both gateways in a gateway pool bu...

Hi fred,

 

Yes of course, In this case you can use priority group.

 

Just don't forget to set reliable monitors (transparent) in order to monitor something behind your gateway in order to be sure that your GW work fine.

 

So suppose that you have sour site1 (active) and site2 (standby)

 

  • set node GW1 to priority grp at 4
  • set node GW2 to priority grp at 2

And in this case it will work as you want.
