CirrusThe state of your HA is determined by the link of your 3900 pair in the cluster, and not by your application traffic. You need to establish a link between the 3900s and configure the HA pair (System --> High Availability). There are more than one way to skin a cat on the topology implementation of F5. Some put them inline and use them as a gateway to your LB interfaces. I have mine in a "one-armed" bandit manner. I link them to a switch, and extend my VLANs to the interfaces, then tag them. On the F5, I create RIP on each unit for each VLAN.
