GTM Topo Failure
I have GTM Topolgy failover scenario I am trying to get working and cannot identify proper solution.
The below configuration works as expected
WIP Configured as Topolgy with 3 pools and works with Continent to Pool Configuration = All Weights 100 Pool New York (RR 2 Members) = North America, South America and Oceania Pool London (RR 2 Members) = EMEA and Africa Pool Singapore (RR 2 Members) = APAC
What I am trying to do is configure a failover pool if New York Goes down to pass traffic to Standby DC in Phoenix until New York comes back online.
All configurations that I have tried are failing. Does anyone know of a way to configure the Phoenix pool as a Standby for New York so that when New York goes down all North America, South America and Oceania traffic route to Phoenix?
Is it a topo record that needs to be configured with weight after New York or some configuration in New York pool to add Phoenix?
I was hoping it would be as easy as a priority group in New Your pool with Phoenix servers. But I guess priority on GTM doesnt operate like LTM does.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try this config. I think this will do what you want:
- NY pool. LB methods preferred: RR, alternate: none, fallback: none
- Phx pool.LB methods preferred: RR, alternate: your_choice, fallback: your_choice
- Assign pools to wideip. Wideip LB method: topology
- Custom topology region containing NA, SA, Oceania
- Topology record NA,SA,O > NY pool, weight 100
- Topology record: NA,SA,O > Phx pool, weight 50
- GTM will select the matching record with the highest weight (NY pool) but if all NY members are unavailable and alt/fallback LB methods=none it will then move on to a matching record with a lower weight (Phx pool).
- When NY is available again name resolution will resume to NY but you can set manual resume on the NY pool so GTM doesn't switch back automatically.
