GTM name resolve for sub-domains from NS
I have external Linux DNS server for my domain.com.
Now i Created Cname in linux server
. IN CNAME
delegate authority for the wip.domain.com
wip IN NS gtm1.domain.com. IN NS gtm2.domain.com.
gtm1.domain.com. IN A 192.168.101.254 gtm2.domain.com. IN A 192.168.102.254
Now my query is,
- When i request the in internet for , i get the answer from GTM box it is has IP of x.x.x.x and cname for it , i am ok with this
** But When I request for somedomain test.domain.com, what will happen, since linux server dont has the cname for test.domain.com, Should i create CNAME and delegate for all the sundomains?*

Greetings,
My guess is the cname entry is to delegate only a few specific subdomains to GTM / DNS.Do you intend to answer many name resolution queries for the domain from the Linux server?
If not, perhaps just skip the cname entry and delegate the entire domain?
If only a few are being delegated to GTM, then just keep using the cname.
Hope this is somewhat helpful, thanks,
Kevin
