GTM Monitor for Microsoft Forefront VPN

Hi,

 

We have recently configured two GTM's in our environment in each of our data-centers. We ran into a small issue when trying to configure the WideIP for the VPN because by default it does not allow ping. I was wondering if anyone has done any type of monitoring to monitor VPN, not just if the server responds, by maybe also the VPN service as well. Thanks!
